CAPTAIN KATE MCCUE BIDS FAREWELL TO CELEBRITY CRUISES
After 22 remarkable years at sea across 11 ships within the Royal Caribbean Group, Captain Kate McCue has announced her departure from Celebrity Cruises on her popular Instagram page.
In a heartfelt statement that has reverberated throughout the maritime community, Captain Kate shared, “Today, I say farewell to Celebrity,” marking the end of an era that has seen her rise from 2nd Officer to one of the industry’s most celebrated captains.
For those wondering why she’s leaving Celebrity, she added “You might be wondering why am I leaving.
Simply put, life has an incredible way of reminding us what’s important and changing up priorities.
I’ve recently had some big life changes, and this just happens to be one of those.”
Captain Kate will surely be missed! Commenters shared their memories sailing with Captain Kate, as well as learning from and being inspired by her!
